Nice Component, Works Very Well in the 3800,
This does work just as it is supposed to. I will definitely buy another. Stant or OEM with the GM 3800. I have had bad luck with the other brands I have tried.

|Fits and works great in my chevy suburban,

Bought these door actuators for my chevrolet suburban (1999 model), they fitted in the door perfectly but one thing, if and when you remove the old General Motors unit remove the mounting bracket used to fix it to the door as you will need this to fit the new one in. There are two studs on the base, the off center one has to be cut off so the bracket fits. Now I deducted one star due to the fact that the wiring connector fitted okay but because there plug makes it fit vertically from above this means you cannot put the rubber cover on the unit over the connector, not a good design idea there. Otherwise works perfectly, would highly recommend. I have got by for years with the cheapo versions from electronics suppliers for a few bucks but they do not fit correctly and move around. Wish I had found these some years back.

|Does the job – with modifications,
Just like zakt described, these were not a perfect fit for my Chevy Astro (though they’re spec’d for my vehicle). There are 2 small lobes molded into the plastic back of the actuator that fit into holes on the door’s mounting bracket to keep the actuator aligned and stable. They’re farther apart on the OEM part. This one fit after I filed off about half of the smaller lobe. Also, the rivets included in the package were of no use – smaller diameter than the original – so I picked up some nuts and bolts to re-mount the bracket (which will save hours if I ever have to replace the actuators again). The good part is my door locks work again.

|Dorman Lock Actuators 746-014,
With the most recent ones of these I bought the plastic pin on the back that goes through the door mounting bracket doesnt line up (in the wrong spot) so had to cut it off and used all 4 bolts on the bracket so seems to work. Also the packaging is smaller and this time at least comes with the rivets.. NOTE: says made in China…. the last ones before these were in a bigger package no rivets but the plastic pin was in the correct spot. Not a big deal but FYI..

|Easy and does what it’s suppose to,
Got these pins for my “97 S-10 which had a sagging drivers side door. Did exactly what I bought them for, to remove the sag. The job wasn’t to hard to do either. Hardest part was knocking out the stock busshings. But that’s not a fault of this product.

|Incorrect parts in package,
I was pleased that I got my parts so quickly but after removing my door to replace the bushings and pins I discovered that one of the two identical packages contained a incorrect bushing. This incorrect part caused the job to take about twice as long since I had to stop and make a bushing. Maybe next time I’ll just make the bushings and not bother with the parts made in China.
