Well, after a week of driving, I can now report on the installation and the so-far-results. It did take a bit longer then 90 minutes. I have a 2001 Toyota 4Runner and there was a need, like with others, to drill a large hole (1&3/8″)in the intake pipe. Since the pipe is a …pipe, using a large hole saw to drill on a curved pipe is a bit of a pain. I decided to use a straight drill bit of the largest diameter that I had and then use a knife then a file to make it the exact size I needed. After this is done, you then mount a large, round, flat rubber gasket to the pipe. After doing this I decided to seal around it with clear silicone sealant. After doing this I let it set while I took the old system off and readied the new to go on. It was fairly straight forward after that and rather fun. It does become a bit louder when you put your foot into it, but quite enough when driving normally. There is a definite increase in horsepower as felt and there IS an increase in MPG of about 10-13%. Not a great lot but every bit helps. I do recommend this item but remember, the menu on Amazon does not always produce the correct results. I checked with K&N when I got the first one ordered and it seemed to be wrong. They gave me the correct one model number. I then went back to Amazon and put both numbers (the one I ordered as well as the one K&N said I needed) and they both came back as the correct one for my application. To Amazons credit, they did a return for me as I ordered the new one. Amazon is the BEST !!!

|a MUST if you own a supercharger,

I own a 2004 Tacoma V6. If you have a supercharger also installed this upgrade is a MUST. It took me about 1.5 hours to install and everything fit snugly.
The only issue was with drilling out the hole. I had to make a special trip to the hardware store to buy a $5 part that I will never use again. Thankfully I read the Amazon comments and was ready for this trip.
Since the install the truck responds faster and if you have a Supercharger installed it feels like you get more than the 7-10hp gain, mainly because it seems like the supercharger performs at a higher level.
Well worth the money.

|K&N FIPK Intake for 2002 Tacoma,

I got this intake to replace an Outlaw CAI I had installed previously. I had high expectations since it is from K&N, but was let down. The one I bought is for a 3.4L Tacoma. I had to buy a hole saw kit like the directions said I might since mine has the resonator box, but the directions show it in the wrong location. Also, the way things are lined up, my truck’s hoses had to be routed differently and are stretched pretty tight just to get them to fit. The intake sounds great and looks decent, but for the money and brand I expected more. The hole saw part is just ridiculous!

|Easy way to boost fuel economy,
I have a 2002 Toyota 4Runner that I had used the stock filters in. Boy what a mistake.
From the moment I dropped in this replacement filter, my fuel economy jumped substantially- somewhere around 20%.
Plus, you get more power, and it doesn’t require any engine mods.

I bought the in channel ones for my Toyota 4Runner SR5 because i was tired of getting wet in the rain when i cracked the window. They look great and were easy to install and well worth the price. They not only keep the rain out but also the sun lowering the internal temp of your truck. I got in channel version cause i figured it would cost less to replace the door weather stripping if they get ripped off than repainting the door if the outside ones get ripped off which are glued on to the door frame.
