Energy Suspension 4.2121G Front Spring Bushing Set for Ford 4WD
- Durability is superior for cars, trucks and SUVs; road salt, oil, and a host of other common under car contaminants will eventually destroy the rubber bushings on your vehicles, not to mention the weight and torque forces that typically compress rubber
- Hyper-Flex replacement polyurethane components stand up well to contaminants that often destroy rubber and have been engineered to give longer-lasting performance and not compress permanently
- Hyper-Flex is offered in a variety of durometers (firmness or softness), depending on product application; performance tested and race proven; used for all of Energy Suspension products that require a higher level of performance and durability
- If you are modifying, building a new vehicle for scratch or restoring an old one, Energy Suspension's Hyper-Flex performance polyurethane should be the 'ground zero' focus of your present and next vehicle plans

Great upgrade for the truck,
Used this harness in conjunction with the Dorman 600-100 actuator. Installed both in an older K1500 that previously had the thermal actuator. Made engagement much quicker. Also wired the power lead of the harness through a switch, so that I can engage the transfer case into Lo, but not allow power to the actuator. Gives me the option of 2wd Lo. Nice bonus.

|Works great, but high price for not much.,

If your like me, you bought this harness because you were upgrading from your OEM thermal actuator to this newer and better mechinized unit. ANd to do so you needed this kit so that you could do so. There is not much to this kit. Just a couple connectors, some wiring but mainly just one wire in this harness and the metal spacer you need to insert in to the trasfer case before you install the new actuator.
I gave it 4 stars because they charge a premium price for so little. After doing my install I read on the web that one could make your own harness for about half price including the metal space, all of which are available via GM.
Also 4 stars as in my case (will vary by year of truck), my wire was hard to locate (didn’t run near the shifter in side the cab) and the easiest location to fin was at the switch under the truck at the transfer case. The hardest part was tapping into this wire. Took me multiple trys and quite sometime to pull off as there is hardly any room and I could’t look and work at the same time, had to do most of it by feeling.
All that said it is a very worth while upgrade. It fixes all of the thermal actuators weaknesses. (poor functinality in cold or wet, when you turn off the truck it will now stay in 4×4, and no more long delays for 4×4 to engage it will now be fairly instintanious!)
Yes I would buy it again!

|Well Worth The Money,
 Â
I have a 1996 Silverado K1500. I had enough of how long it was taking for the thermal actuator to engage my front axle so I decided to order the Dorman 600-101 actuator along with this wire harness kit. For me it was well worth the cost because it made everything so much easier when compared to trying to source all the necessary individual parts and assembling them into a harness. The kit also includes a steel spacer that is necessary for the Dorman 600-101 to work with older style trucks like mine.
The harness seems like it is of good quality and was easy to install except for when it came time to splice the brown wire into my truck’s wiring harness. The instructions are clear enough at telling you what to do, but I had some difficulty locating the proper wire because the instructions don’t provide any pictures of what you’re looking for – just several wiring diagrams. You are looking for a particular connector with a brown (BRN) wire. Yes, the wire is brown but only in an academic sense. In reality the wire simply isn’t as dark as the black wire next to it.
Eventually, I did locate what I thought was the proper wire. The next problem was separating it from the rest of the truck’s wiring harness so I could splice into it. Using the method I’ve honed with many years of experience (persistence and a lot of curse words) I eventually got the wire spliced. After going through all that frustration I was even more pleased that I ordered this harness instead of making my own since I didn’t have the added frustration.
(Note: I took some pictures of my truck’s connector were the BRN wire is located and posted them here on Amazon to help anybody else contemplating this project.)
