toyota 4x4 parts
SOON i will be in the middle of what i hope is a one of a kind SUV -built from only the best parts?

the poor isuzu 2WD 4cyl i have is dead at 70.000 miles but still the body is like new, i plan to install front and rear 1985 toyota axles and leaf springs ,the trans and transfur case as well, for a power plant i have a 1975 MERCEDES inline 4cyl diesel, w/ custom fab bell housing from 3/4 aluminum plate to mount the toyota trans, the tires are 38′s on alcoa rim’s, all parts to be powder coated or s-steel, i want to build a very strong and clean mercedes 4×4 unlike anyone else has,, my QUESTION is if i use a gear set of -513 should that be low enough to help out the 67 HP diesel 4cyl mercedes engine and still get a little fuel mileage, my final gearing is key to make this work correctly,i can fab most anything, but need advice from a 4×4 guy on my gear choice, thanks for any help on this, oh about the mercedes motor choice’ simple this engine will last longer than any other possibly could.

Stick to your guns I still think the 300sd turbo diesel would even look good under hood But if 4 cyl it is! Make sure your Manual transmission! has 1.2 to one overdrive and 5.12 axles won’t seem as low ounce you get er wound up. I just don’t think that engine spinning a automatic will do anything but slow. Oh by the way do you realise what a bosch injector pump costs glow plugs? pre combustion chamber replacement in Mercedes Benz engine run a compression test to know where that engine is

Toyota’s legendary FJ40, the rugged off-road two-door Landcruiser introduced in 1960, sold more than one million models in its lifetime—and is still in service in the roughest parts of the world, nearly a quarter of a century after the last one rolled off the assembly line. As Toyota prepares to roll out its new version of this classic, this book offers a close-up, behind-the-scenes look at the development and production of the new FJ Cruiser, a retro 4×4 that combines its famous predecessor’s unparalleled style with solid off-road capabilities and all the convenience and comfort that today’s technology offers. With interviews from the designers, engineers, and executives involved in making the FJ Cruiser, as well as more than 150 photos of the new vehicle and details on the 4×4’s specifications, this book puts readers into the driver’s seat of Toyota’s next classic Cruiser.
